Happy 100th Post!!!

Today is a special day for tgrando.blogspot.com....it's the 100th post on this blog. Thank you all for joining me through the past five months. Hopefully you've enjoyed reading about everything on here, including travels to Germany, Poland, Uruguay and Argentina, as well as the happenings in Atlanta.

Seeing as how we couldn't do this up without something utterly hilarious, it's time to talk about Vidmantas Sungaila. Now, you're probably sitting there saying, Vidmantas who? Well, he's famous...or something like that.

Think back for a second about how many times you've been out on the weekend, gotten together afterwards and said, "Man, was so-and-so trashed last night. He (or she) had to be the drunkest person ever!" Does that sound like a conversation you've had? If so, you were wrong.

That's where Vidmantas Sungaila comes in to play. You see, he may actually hold the record for drunkest person ever.

Saturday night, ol' Vidmantas was pulled over in his truck near the Lithuanian capital city of Vilnius and promptly registered a 7.27 grams per liter of alcohol in his blood. That may not sound like much, but considering it's an astonishing 18 times over the legal limit in Lithuania, it's downright amazing.

Amazing that he's not dead that is. Police, not believing the results, used several machines, all of which came to the same conclusion. Vidmantas was drunk, and more importantly, should have been dead. Doctors couldn't believe how someone could have survived like that as most people would have succumbed with half that amount of alcohol in their blood.

So, here's to you Vidmantas, thanks for setting the record straight and officially becoming the drunkest person on record. Oh, and also, here's to hoping you end up serving a little time in addition to the $1100 fine you now owe for driving in such a state.

100 and more to come, way to go Todd. I always look forward to this blog, never know what you will write about. Some crazy, but most of it was very interesting reading. Just like picking up the People Magazine. Keep it coming and have a beer on me. Julie will pay for me.

Vidmantas should have tried Waffle House, instead of the beer, for breakfast to help him sober up. Oh and Julie buy Todd a drink for me too!
