Tragedy in the midst of revelry.

Things were going great at the party last night and then we heard those dreaded words, "We've got a man down!" It seems that a certain guest, in a blatant attempt to draw attention to herself, broke a wine glass. The party went silent and all eyes were on Julie Thomason.

Fortunately the ploy did not work and our attention quickly turned to the fallen soldier instead of to Julie. We tried, but all attempts to rescucitate the glass failed and it was pronounced dead at 10:43 PM.

The glass is survived by three wine glasses and a corkscrew. Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 16th at 8:00 PM at Johnny's New York Pizza in Inman Park. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the American Heart Association.
